Kings School celebrated their Annual Sports Day
Kings School, Matric. celebrated their Annual Sports Day on Saturday, the 27th August. Mr C Lakshmana Swamy, the District Educational Officer, Vallioor was the Chief Guest and inaugurated the Sports Day. He motivated the students and encouraged them to participate in the various sporting activities.
Mr. Anantha Sam, Principal welcomed everyone present and asked them to participate in their sports and games with loyalty and full energy. Uncle Colin and Correspondent Navamani honoured the chief guest by giving him a flower bouquet and memento. The sports meet was declared open by lighting the torch lamp.
A beautiful welcome dance was presented by the students, followed by various sports activities for the juniors, seniors and super seniors. Events like football, volleyball, basketball matches, along with athletic events and other sporting games were held. All these were enjoyed by the students and parents.
Finally the overall championship was awarded to Galaxy house, who won with 333 points, and the Runners up was won by Meteoroids house with a score of 328 points. The day came to an end with the vote of thanks given by Mr Joshua, the Deputy Principal (Non – Academics) and everyone standing and singing with pride the National Anthem.
