SPECIAL ASSEMBLY HIGHLIGHTING WORLD DEMOCRACY DAY

Students of class 6 A hosted the special assembly on Hindi Diwas (September 14) and World Democracy Day (September 15) on September 14, 2022.  They were prepared for the informative talk depicting what democracy truly is. Young learners presented crystal clear speech to define Democracy. The mock Parliament show was followed by their speech, which aimed to make the aware of parliamentary procedures of the country and to instill leadership qualities in them. Students played the roles of Prime Minister, Speaker, Ministers and leaders of opposition and ruling party.  

The program acquaints the students with a bill explained the importance of speaking in English. All the parliamentary formalities were followed. The student enacted as an education minister brought a bill named education development Bill   to debate, which was objected by the student acted as a leader from opposition party. The student acted for ruling party leader, explained the benefits of Bill and voting report and result was announced by the Speaker.

Parliamentary role play gave students great opportunity to act out the various roles in Parliament to pass a law. They really honed their debating skill. It could be seen clearly that their increased confidence level.

The show ended with pledge to uphold the rule of speaking in English in school.
