CAREER GUIDANCE FOR XII

A career guidance programme was conducted on Friday, December 2,2022  in the Burden Centre  for the students of class 12 by a team of   three eminent professors of PSN college of Engineering namely Dr G.Nalla sivam, Prof. A. kasi vishvanathan, Prof. K Sundarajan from the Department of Computer Science, Aeronautical engineering and MBA respectively.

As many as 108 students from both kings matric and kings CBSE schools took part in it and they found it beneficial to understand multiple courses, colleges, universities, jobs in demand, the skills to develop, entrance exams to clear, scholarships available in India and abroad etc.

Earlier, the gathering was welcomed by Matric DP in the presence of both principals and the Career Guidance coordinator. Addressing the students, Dr G. Nalla sivam began his session with slides, highlighted the importance of goal setting and group -wise career prospects. First, he focused on PCM group students, the multiple engineering courses and related entrance exams followed by BSc nautical science, marine engineering and railway apprentice exam, commercial pilot and best colleges in the field of engineering and other streams. Secondly, he focused PCB group students. Starting with MBBS, BDS, pharmacy, microbiology, forensic science, bio technology and genetic courses .BPT and finally nursing and also he listed private and government colleges. At the end, he listed different kinds of arts and science streams.

In the second session, Prof. Kasi Vishwanathan, department of aeronautical engineering, addressed the students by sharing information of planes, jets, engines, fuels, cost, employment opportunities, entrance exams, salary norms, rocket launchers, scholarships and eligibility criteria. Further, he mentioned state and central universities and the process and procedures related to aeronautical engineering.

Next, prof. K sundarajan , head of MBA empowered the students with his insights and experience on business administration. He motivated the students profusely.
