A career guidance programme was organised for the 87 students of class 12 of matric students on the topic entrepreneurship skills on Saturday January 28,2023 in the Burden Centre by Ms. F. George Mary Aarthi , ROHINI college of engineering and Technology , Anjugrammam. Dr Rejimis , professor, the Department of chemistry who accompanied the guest speaker, introduced about the resource person and started the session at 10 a.m. sharp. All the 87 students who participated in the session felt beneficial as the speaker empowered them with plethora of facts and figures and well-chosen slides of personalities, celebrities, MSMEs and startups of young business icons through a PPT. In the meantime, the resource person conducted a human-knot activity with the assistance of 10 boys and 10 girls separately to underline the importance of clear communication skills and problem-solving skills in business. Besides giving a mind map about multiple loans and scholarships by the government, she also highlighted the importance of developing communication skills, people skills, social skills, life skills and entrepreneurial skills to succeed in the competitive business world. Earlier, the gathering was welcomed by Dr Monikandan, Matric DP and Mr Alwin, the career guidance coordinator thanked and honoured the guest speakers with a memento, each.
A scholarship programme, named HCL Tech Bee was organised by Mr. Rajish in the Burden Centre on Saturday January 28, 2023 for the 87 students of class 12 of Matric School. In his speech, he updated students with loans offered by their partner banks for the skilling fee and the same can be paid through EMI once they start their internship/employment with HCL. When they become full-time employee, with HCL, they shall continue their higher education programme from BITS- Pilani / SASTRA UNIVERSITY/Amity University /IIM Nagpur University and KL University. The session was found fruitful for the students.
