The annual sports day was organised at Kings Matric Hr. Sec. School on 2nd February 2024. Chairman Mr. Colin Wagstaff unfurled the National Flag and kicked off the celebrations. Mr. Anantha Sam, Principal of Kings Matric School, hoisted the school flag and welcomed the gathering. Dr. Sahaya Mary, Principal of CBSE School, hoisted the Olympic flag and facilitated the celebrations. Subsequently, the chairman officially declared the sports meet open. The Olympic torch was lit by the students who won medals in various sports events at the state level competitions. The zealous parents, gathered in large numbers, constantly applauded the enthusiastic young sports stars. Asteroids claimed the top spot with 384 points, securing 1st place, while Galaxy followed closely in 2nd with 366 points. Mr. J. Navamani, Correspondent, and Director Mrs. Jeya Agnes extended congratulations to both the winners and the participants. The successful execution of the event was the collaborative effort of Mr. Joshua, Head of Sports, PET Staff, and the cooperation of all staff members. The celebration concluded on a joyful note.
